Interstate 80 Extension Expands Westward in Nebraska
By year end 1964 motorists on Route 30 east of western Nebraska can reach Interstate 80 about six miles west of Gothenburg. A possible extension to Maxwell is not guaranteed. Aerial mapping of the I 80 corridor in the Southern Panhandle is planned to refine plans within one to two years. Nebraska has 153.4 miles open with 52.7 more planned, contingent on Maxwell completion.
