Woman's Club Examines Stevenson Life and Verses

Dancing Party of Size at Swatzlander Home
A large holiday dancing party hosted by Mr and Mrs WE Swatzlander drew many guests including Miss Anne Radcliffe from Chicago University and Mr Edward Shoemaker from Nebraska University. Out of town attendees came from North Platte Morrill and Peetz. The evening featured extensive dancing in a spacious room with rugs removed and music by Mr and Mrs Van Gorder. Refreshments were special and delicious.

Wounded Mules Break Loose in Sidney Delivery Run
The Sidney Mercantile delivery team rode from near the Fundingsland residence Tuesday and caused extensive damage as the normally calm, city-broke mules bolted for several blocks. Both animals appeared driven by a sudden fright, leaving the wagon thoroughly demolished.

R P D Devine and daughter Esther returned Saturday noon from their mission to York Nebraska where they accompanied Ralph Devine's remains. The Masonic lodge of York conducted the committal service. Numerous floral tributes were placed on the casket in York and here. Miss Marie Stetzer Miss Bess Sinclair and Mr. Palmer C Flourney of St Joseph met the party in York. The deceased was a Shriner, a fact omitted last week from the obituary.
