A three man team of Sheriff Schulz Police Chief Vizina and State Patrolman Knudtson halted two young desperadoes James Vreeland 24 and Everett Thorpe 20 after a high speed escape from a road block near Bronson Nebraska. The pair had stolen a car in California and robbed a Hanna Wyoming Union Pacific store before heading east. The fugitives surrendered after a shotgun warning and were jailed awaiting word from California authorities.
