Big Gray Wolf Captured by Arvin Livingston Trap

Arvin Livingston of Sidney Draw, living with his parents Mr and Mrs Fred Livingston, trapped and dispatched a big gray wolf weighing ninety pounds. He sold the skin for twenty five dollars to Charley Hadley who will tan it. The boy has also sold sixteen coyote hides this winter.

Planck Sale Postponed to March 4 Due to Storm

The public sale of Emory Planck has been postponed because of the storm. It will be held instead on Tuesday, March 4.

Farm meeting remembered as best ever in Cheyenne County

A 1919 Cheyenne County Farm Bureau gathering in Sidney featured a banquet at the Methodist church, speeches by leaders from Kimball Lincoln and the Farmers Union, and a lively program. Resolutions praised organizers, hospitality, and the U S A theatre, while urging legislative action on cooperative banking road funding and labor deployment of farm boys, with publication in several local papers.

Opper Accepts Bright Opening at Dalton Bank

L. C. Opper resigns from American Bank where he served closely with associates and duties to become cashier at the Farmer's State Bank in Dalton. He will move with his wife Saturday to a bungalow there while staying connected socially in Sidney where they are well liked.

Former Citizen Patrick McIntyre Died in Cheyenne

Patrick McIntyre formerly of this city and former Union Pacific office worker in Cheyenne died last week. His body was transported Friday from Sidney to Omaha for burial. He was married to Christina Johnson, daughter of Mrs. Nels Hdner, a Sidney resident.

Car backing accident injures a boy’s close call

Wednesday Miss Mildred James collided with a young pedestrian named Che and Young, the child bowled over but unharmed. Two boys played between cars in a street center when Miss James backed into the clear space, narrowly missing harm to the boy, who is Leo Young’s son.

State County Officers To Come Here in 1921

County Treasurer Myrtle Lancaster returned from Lincoln where she attended the State Association of County Treasurers. Four lady treasurers attended. Sidney’s invitation to host the next convention was accepted after a close vote, with Sidney placing second to Omaha by six votes. Lancaster was named State vice president. Also noted are basketball items and local dentist contact.

The sale at Mrs. Wiley's ranch ten miles southeast proved highly successful with strong bids on articles and stock. Her neighbors, moved by her distress, bid the full value as Fundingsland and Miller cried the auction and Al Bauer presided as master of ceremonies.

Monument Proposed for Cheyenne County Heroes

A proposal calls for a courthouse square monument to Cheyenne County soldiers who died in service. The memorial would bear the names of the fallen and serve as a constant reminder of duty.
