The Sidney High School Library led by Mrs. Nancy Patrowsky offers a large fiction section, extensive non fiction, sixty seven magazines, current topic files, maps, pictures and job information. A nickel copying machine in the library office provides copies of pictures or prints for student use.

Pit Orchestra Begins Work for March Musical
Nineteen students join the pit orchestra for the upcoming musical with rehearsals three to four times weekly under director Larry Pippitt. Cast includes Cindy Buecker Debbie Sherrerd flute players and others on clarinet oboe bassoon saxophone percussion cornet trombone and piano. Rehearsals with the chorus start in the second week of March. The music is described as extremely difficult by Mr. Pippitt.

Powderpuff Basketball Games Set For Sidney High
Powderpuff games return to Sidney High for March 8 and 9 at 615 and 730 pm in the Jr High Gym. Senior coaches Tom OConnell and Mark Curless lead a long list of players, with junior and sophomore squads coached by Jay Curless Craig Olsen Rich Seidel Jerry Lubash. Freshmen coaches Bruce Hochmann and Randy Lubash supervise another sizable roster. Last year the juniors beat the seniors 22 to 17 in the final battle and cheerleaders are selected by each class.
