Congress and Lincoln Highway Rename Debate
The Nebraska legislature asks Congress to rename the Lincoln highway to Old Oregon Trail. The letter questions if Congress can erase history by law and if the highway would accept such a renaming or seek another route. The Roads Committee weighs whether Congress should decide such disputes or hand the issue to a different tribunal. Robert G. Simmons.
