Businesslike Statement of Councilman Lowe on Bond Handling
At a Community Association luncheon last Wednesday Councilman L G Lowe presented a thorough report on bond handling by the City Council. The city attorney added that the discount on bonds was 22000 and that selling at par could have avoided losses in materials. The report outlines bonds voted 196000, various capital items, mains, and operating figures leaving only about 2000 from the bond issue for remaining work. The City Board aimed to minimize costs but may not finish all projects with the realized funds. The board invites the Commercial Club to critique the work, while notes about band leadership and amusement funds were also discussed. The Nebraska Chamber of Commerce membership was voted into active status and the secretary will apply. the directory plan includes street addresses for patrons.
