Sidney Plans Major Expansion Study With Federal Support

The 1955 Denver study is the last full review. the new project costs just under 25 thousand dollars, with Sidney paying one third and the Federal government two thirds. The plan, aiming to qualify under the 701 planning study requirements, could open Federal funding for community improvements and expansion programs. Harold C. Lohrentz outlined that the project will take at least a year, though priorities like elder housing and interstate 80 interchange sites may speed certain items once approvals from the Nebraska Resources Division and Federal authorities are granted, a process potentially lasting three months.
