Raiders win district wrestling crown at Ogallala
Sidney High Red Raiders dominate the district wrestling meet at Ogallala earning nine state contenders. Jim Countryman won 133 pounds, Bob Mika 145, Curt Blome 165 finished second, Gary Hansmeier 180 took third, and Don Bishop of Ogallala claimed the 180 title. The team qualified nine for the state tourney at Lincoln with strong showings from Sid, Ogallala, Lex, and Gordon.
