Barn And Grain Lost In Blaze In Potter
A barn and 2000 bushels of wheat owned by William Goding of Potter were destroyed in a large blaze on Wednesday night. The Potter volunteer fire department struggled to stop the fire from spreading. Goding’s loss is reported as partially insured.

Gas Tax Shares Are Mailed To Counties
State Treasurer Hall Monday sent out to the various counties in the state their proportion of the gas taxes collected during January. Of the total of 543,727 the counties get 38th or 201,847. Scotts Bluff county received 5018 as the lattest slate paid in the part handle. Famed Russian Chorus Brings Colorful Program to City Auditorium
The world famous Russian chorus directed by M. D. Slaviansky performs at the city auditorium on Tuesday February 13 under the American Legion. Founded in Russia 75 years ago the group has toured widely and is famed as peerless in choral harmony. The program features fiery Russian and Gypsy dances in glamorous costumes with special lighting. Chappell will pave seven blocks of the Lincoln highway through its main business district this spring. Funeral services were held this week for Artiebel Lough daughter of Mrs Mattie Lough who died February 3 in a Colorado Springs hospital. A Lodge Pole high school graduate of 1930 she had been in nurse training in Colorado Springs. Survived by her mother four brothers and one sister.

J W Rogers pioneer lodge pole banker and landowner was badly injured when his automobile overturned three miles east of Sidney. A punctured tire may have caused loss of control. He was taken to Taylor hospital after initial treatment in Sidney. Rogers suffered fractured ribs and other injuries. full extent unknown. He is widely known in Cheyenne county and his misfortune caused considerable regret. The car was nearly wrecked.
