Potential for irrigation grows in Cheyenne County official says
Dr. E C Reed Nebraska state geologist told Western Nebraska Organized Agriculture in Sidney that irrigation water supplies may develop over much of Cheyenne County’s northern tableland. He noted two main limits: deep wells and high lift, with a boundary for Lance formation water at depth possibly 500 to 1000 feet in places. Groundwater levels are at historic lows, and recharge is limited by low annual precipitation.

Counts Against Youths Dismissed In Chappell Case
Deputy County Attorney Bob Richards told The Telegraph that charges of breaking and entering an automobile against two Sidney youths were dismissed.
