Lincoln Neb Jan 30 1920 State Superintendent JOIN MO MATZEN interprets the new redistricting law clarifying two consolidation paths Open country districts require 25 percent petition and majority vote for establishment while consolidations around an organized district need 51 percent of electors outside the district to petition The letter explains the ambiguity and states the law does not force consolidation but sets boundaries to be decided by voters in the proposed district.
Bishop Beecher arrived in Sidney and met the local congregation at the Nebraska State Bank to discuss a national revival campaign and the church’s spiritual growth plans. The meeting noted rapid local progress warranting a parish house and discussed construction timing and financing by church members.
