Carrier Case To Kick Off Bus Hearing
The Interstate Commerce Commission hearing on Continental Trailways bid to drop the Sidney to Sterling route begins at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in City Council Chambers. The company seeks to remove Sidney and Chappell from the North Platte to Sterling run, add Julesburg Colorado, and use the south leg of I 80 instead of U.S. 30 and Nebraska 14 to Sterling. If approved the change would end Cheyenne County’s main bus link forcing Sidney to Denver riders toward Cheyenne Wyoming. Local citizens and businesses plan to testify against the proposal.
