Farmers urged on 1951 tax forms and filing dates
The deputy collector will compute tax on form 1040. If two thirds of gross income comes from farming, file declaration form 1040 ES by Jan 15 1951, then final form 1040 by March 15 1951. Farmers filing final tax return by Jan 31 1951 and paying full tax then need not file a declaration. Spouse income must be combined and both must sign. Mr Chase urged farmers to watch newspapers for deputy collector consultation times.

Good Deer Kill Reported In State
Fond memories and venison in a cold store locker mark Nebraska’s deer season end as Game Commission notes 14 days of hunting with 550 deer expected in total. If confirmed, about 55 percent of 1 000 special permits will be used, near last year’s high. Late reports suggest higher kills than pre season hopes and fewer large deer were taken to reduce prize box losses from 1949.
