Fleming May Seek End of Equalization Board
State Senator George H. Fleming said he may introduce a 1967 bill to abolish Nebraska's State Board of Equalization. He argues the Tax Commissioner's office has improved county property value equalization and sees no reason to keep the board. He expects major tax policy issues, including possible income and sales taxes, when the Legislature convenes.
