Vital project of secondary recovery eyed by Nebraska official
H N Dusty Rhodes, director of the Nebraska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, told 150 delegates that secondary recovery in the Panhandle could raise oil activity by at least 15 percent and yield as much as 160 million dollars in added revenue over 15 years. He cited Enders Field in Kimball County, now producing 50 000 barrels monthly, and noted 27 projects in Nebraska all in Panhandle counties. Rhodes stressed waterfloods as essential, with Nebraska ranking fourth among 33 oil states in 1959 and oil industry spending and royalty payments boosting the state economy.
