Sidney Highs 1923 football season ends in defeat

Sidney High School finished the 1923 football season with a 10 game schedule, four wins and six losses. Coach Merle C. Green praised the squad's spirit and growth from a light, inexperienced lineup, noting key players, suspensions, and a challenging schedule against Morrill, Julesburg, Sterling, and others. He projects a brighter outlook for next year with returning veterans and new material, and basketball preparations begin as practice starts and schedules are drafted.
