The Sidney flu epidemic shows clear improvement allowing relaxed regulations. Store hours restrictions removed, schools to reopen Monday, churches and theaters can operate more freely, and residents may resume normal routines while affected homes remain quarantined.
Paul Booth, son of Esther Booth, was brought to town by A A Bauer after a riding accident near Bauer’s ranch. He was returning from Colorado with a string of horses when dark fell and he hit a wire fence. The horse bolted and the boy’s leg was severely injured, with the back muscles and nerves severed above the ankle. The prognosis is uncertain.

Thieves hit Red Cross pharmacy for seven or eight dollars and toilet articles, then Central Meat Market for ten dollars. Tuesday night burglars broke a basement window at Stacia McRae beauty parlors, taking goods from a wall case. All locations on main streets, suggesting familiarity with the buildings. Mrs St M Perkins mourns as her mother Mrs J J Ferguson dies in Air Rock Missouri after an illness that began during a visit a year ago. Survived by daughter Mrs Perkins and three sons, all successful in business. Mrs Perkins unable to travel due to influenza.
Mrs A A Cram and daughter Kathryn of North Vlatie visited indefinitely at the home of Reverend and Mrs J B Lewis. They came after a stay in Atlanta where Reverend B A Cram serves as chaplain. The pair spent four days in Washington on their return trip.

The son of Judge Grimes and his Memphis wife died of influenza while working on a government project in Chattanooga Tennessee. He had been a member of a large contracting firm and his death prompted Judge Grimes to adjourn court in North Platte to rush to his bedside. Judge Grimes has long ties to Cheyenne County and a twenty five year acquaintance locally.
Henry Jo Marx and Ada Peterson were married Wednesday December 4 in Sidney by Rev. L Ed Lewis of the Methodist Church. Ada Peterson of Banner county is the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Victor Peterson. Henry Marx, a Dalton farmer, will reside near Dalton after visiting Scribner relatives.
Child William Sparks and Opal Barham wed November 23 by County Judge Chambers. Intimate relatives attended. Mrs K D Bassett handles clerical work at City Municipal plant during Nina Spiller’s absence. Mr and Mrs W H Drexler returning home to Denver from visit with daughter Mrs Norman Miller. Mrs Barfoot of Kimball guests of Mrs Margaret Martin.
Grandma Laurence, eighty eight, marked her birthday and Thanksgiving with family at Br. Sweet's home. Granddaughters Jett Call and Irene Sweet helped prepare a festive gathering. A birthday cake featured four flags for twenty years and eight candles for each year. Relatives and friends gathered to offer congratulations.
An important meeting on goods roads and motor transportation for the Sixth Congressional district was called in Alliance on Tuesday December 10. Sidney has four delegates. On Rose street near the courthouse two cars clashed, a speeding farmer’s car edged into a preacher’s, the farmer’s vehicle struck the other. All damage was paid and peace restored. The incident happened without prior rehearsal.
