Gurley, Gurley native Lyle K. Peters has been assigned to the 101st Airborne Division’s 502d Infantry at Fort Campbell Kentucky. Peters, 20, entered the Army last June after graduating Gurley High School in 1959 and working for Bell Telephone in Denver. He completed basic training at Fort Riley Kansas and serves as a rifleman in Headquarters Company.
