Nash reports August and September 1924 combined sales equal 38 percent of the year’s total, driven by new Special Six and Advanced Six models. September marks the 14th straight month of record sales, with November price cuts tied to high volumes and quality values.
More than a million and a half dollars have been saved to purchasers of Chrysler motor cars through the Chrysler finance plan since its inception on July 1. The plan guarantees uniformly low finance charges and reduced insurance costs, though in some states the legality of the plan and its insurance features has been questioned by commissioners.
In New York James A Beha sought to revoke Palmetto Fire Insurance license but the lower court barred action and the appeal notes that insurance contracts crossing state lines are not controlled by the resident state. The opinion cites extraterritorial limits and confirms Palmetto Chrysler car insurance via Michigan.
Economists hailed the plan as sound and Chrysler Corporation expected it to raise sales by saving buyers money. Since July 1 a dozen firms have announced similar moves or await Chrysler’s completion of the pioneer work. The plan reduces finance charges on deferred payment car sales with incidental but key insurance features. First year savings to Chrysler purchasers exceed 5 million dollars.

Si Thompson of southeast Alliance reports two large Canada Snow geese shot last week. One weighed twenty pounds and another sixteen. the largest will be mounted for Chadron Normal School. A recent Colorado catch near Fort Collins weighed 12.44 pounds dressed for the oven, measured four feet six inches, with a six foot six inch wing span. Locals note few geese have been plentiful this season.
