Cheyenne County Board Adjourns Audits July 1968 and Bids Notice

Cheyenne County Nebraska Board of Commissioners met August 20 1968 at Sidney. They audited July 1968 fees approved warrants registration 5 percent interest on fair fund warrants and approved bonds for LaVonna Bobo and Sol Willis Sr. A bid notice was issued for gasoline for Sidney Public Schools vehicles with bids due September 9 1968.

Sidney Nebraska approves sidewalk project and tax plan

The August 26 1968 city council meeting in Sidney Nebraska voted to construct five foot sidewalks on 20th Avenue with funding via special assessments if owners fail to act. The city engineer estimates were $180 for Lot 4 Block 1 and $177 for Lot 1 Block 2 Miles Addition. The council also approved business licenses and a salary increase for the city manager. Public notices advertised foreclosure sale and a legal action to quiet title on Lorenezo property with August 1968 court proceedings.
