Lutherans Receive New Minister in Sidney
Reverend Elmer Kahl from Greenburg Pennsylvania arrived Sunday evening to preach at the Lutheran church in Sidney. He is the new pastor with his wife and five children, none of whom could join due to Mrs Kahl’s mother’s frail condition in Pennsylvania. The Kahls traveled over a thousand miles by auto from eastern Kansas and are warmly welcomed after Reverend Seville’s resignation to join army service.

The Sammie Girls and Boy Scouts staged a pageant in the U S theater with Miss Henrietti Shoemaker directing and Frances Burgess at the piano.
