Chappell to Lose Doctor Dr Hartsaw Ends Local Practice
In Chappell the last local physician, Dr John Hartsaw, will leave at month end to begin practice in Cheyenne Wyoming. Residents will rely on nearby towns as the community seeks to recruit a replacement amid physician shortages. The town’s hospital remains modern and a Rest Home addition is approved but not underway, with housing for 476 coeds and 745 men in dormitories dependent on securing a new doctor.

Enrollment At CSC To Reach Record High
Chadron State College anticipates a record fall enrollment for 1966 aided by a $1,300,000 dormitory and a $630,000 Campus Center addition set for completion. Last fall's record stood at 1,655. this year expected to exceed it by more than 300. Tuition remains unchanged: undergraduates paying 125 per semester for Nebraska residents, 150 for graduates. out of state undergraduates 200, graduates 225. housing in seven dormitories totals 348 per semester.

Freshman orientation starts September 8 at 8 15 AM with a general convocation for newcomers. Dormitories open Wednesday. upperclassmen register September 13 and classes begin September 14. Maddox Expands Used Car Space on Illinois Street
Maddox Motor Co will gain more used car display space across from its garage and service facilities on Illinois Street. The former Dr R H Rybolt office site is cleared and the building removed. The area will include the Texaco Station at 14th and Illinois Street, giving Maddox a majority of the block. Maddox is a veteran Chrysler dealer in the area.
