District Court Equity Term Opens Monday in Cheyenne

Residents seek reroute of Highway 26 around new reservoir
A delegation from Devel and Garden counties asks the state highway department to reroute U S 26 north from Big Springs to Lewellen to bypass a proposed reservoir by the Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District to store North Platte river water. Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Koester wife of Henry J. Koester of Sidney were held from a Catholic church Wednesday morning with Rev. Anton Link. Interment followed in the Catholic cemetery. Pallbearers included relatives from Sidney Petersburg Petersburg Elgin and Omaha. Mrs Koester survived by her husband two small children and twelve siblings among other relatives.

J W Baker Hurt in North Platte Crash

Baker, described as an implement salesman, suffered brain concussion possible skull fracture and cuts. The truck driver M A Glen said Baker appeared to be asleep or out of control before the impact. Peetz residents injured in Tuesday collision near Bridgeport
Six Peetz residents were hurt when their car collided with a gas transport truck nine miles south of Bridgeport Tuesday night. The most seriously injured was Mrs. H. M.
