Indian Outrages and Civilizing Hypocrisy Highlighted
A long critique cites Gen Miles and others on Indian outrages against Nez Perce and the supposed civiliation project. It recalls George Nez Perce and White Bird factions, the father’s failed search, and reports of massacres, treaties broken, and violence by settlers and soldiers. It argues these acts fuel further conflict and expose claimed civilizing aims as hypocritical.
