Nebraska farmers expect to sow 3,889,000 acres of winter wheat this fall up from 3,969,000 last year, an eight percent increase. US-wide planting will rise 13.7 percent to 48,637,000 acres with rye also up 20 percent to 349,000 acres. the north central states show a 10 percent rise in intended plantings.
