Senator Hayward Stricken at Brownsville Nebraska
Senator M. L. Hayward was stricken with apoplexy in Brownsville on Tuesday. His condition is serious but improving slowly. His wife son and family physician traveled by special train from Nebraska City. Doctors say there are grounds for hope of recovery. Our Popocratic friends have not yet called their county convention and expect it to be a formality this year. The fusion effort is weak and the Popocratic faction will not gain much.
