Notes removed from Sidney Gurley banks move to Lincoln
Notes aggregating between 250000 and 380000 of the defunct Nebraska State bank of Sidney and Gurley State bank were removed to Lincoln last Saturday by State Guaranty Fund commissioner D Peters on and State Bank examiner Tay Tiernan. The notes were turned over to the guaranty fund commission to conserve assets for the fund. A J Jorgensen has been receiver of the failed banks. The notes were taken only and the reasons for move unclear.
