Gurley School Adds Five Faculty Members for 1969
Gurley Public School welcomes five new staffers for the 1969 70 term. Ronald Shearer and Frank Alfaro join Industrial Arts, Driver Education, and Spanish. Donna Lashley teaches instrumental and choral music. Bonita Dickenson handles junior high math and science. Kathryn Turner becomes junior high English and social studies.

Dix School Enrollment On Upgrade
Enrollment at the Dix Public School is expected to rise by about 10 students this term, reaching a total of 255. Supt. W.D. Brawner, in his 20th year, notes three new teachers have joined the staff including Martin Jungck teaching science and Mrs Jungck as the fourth grade teacher. New English instructor is Miss Linda Heinen. Returning staff include M.E. Quillen as high school principal and social studies teacher, Mrs Quillen as guidance director and language teachers, and several coaches and instructors across math, science, English, music, and vocational subjects.

Opening Day Half Day for Gwelda Anderson Classes
Gwelda Anderson and Evelyn Rasmussen will conduct home economics and fifth grade classes with a half day on August 25 and no lunch served. A teachers workshop runs Thursday and Friday before school. The opening football game is scheduled for Friday September 12 at Lodgepole.
