Military Ball Provides Pleasure and Funds for Home Guard
The Flame Guard Ball last Friday at the opera house drew large crowds. The Sidney orchestra supplied music as guards in khaki mingled with civilians. Standard Oil to Build Large New Warehouse near Sidney

The Sidney Nebraska city council met April 22 in special session with members Aptegrove Schroeder Hellwig mayor Lowe Campbell, Hardy, Neubauer. An ordinance to amend and enlarge fire limits and reestablish fire units was introduced and read. The council suspended rules and passed the ordinance to second and third readings with aye votes from Lowe Campbell Schroeder Hellwig Hardy. The mayor declared it duly passed and approved.

Contract Let For Another Mill In Cheyenne County
The Elevator of the Cheyenne County Trading Company was purchased by W. Be Swatzlander and F. B. Van Wickle who have let a contract for a 100 barrel mill on the east side of the elevator near the Union Pacific track. Construction started April 1 with machinery due about May 15. Presbyterians May Build Church at Central School Site
Negotiations are under way for the purchase of the Puckett home at the southwest corner of the Central school by the Presbyterian Council. If the deal succeeds the house would be moved to the rear and a church erected on the front. The Presbyterian congregation, without a home, has sought a suitable location for some time, and this move would enhance the area. Job work neatly and promptly done at this office.
