Sidney City Hall Plans Hired To Be Drawn By Goldsmith and Fisher
Sidney city council met Friday night approving hiring Goldsmith and Fisher of Scottsbluff to create plans for a new city hall after reviewing present and future needs. The council finalized Trognitz park land purchase negotiations and authorized payment on proper papers. A down payment of 750 dollars was debated due to interest, while land strips from A S Hardy and P L Martin delayed the purchase. The eight Trognitz blocks have been platted by City Engineer Gardner. A protest letter from Commander Arthur H. Dilley of the American Legion against the Trognitz land purchase was filed on motion by Councilman Winders.
