Discoveries Signal Oil Recovery Amid Nebraska Drilling
Completion figures emerge for two J sand wells in Cheyenne County and a pair of successful field developments at Kimball and Banner Counties. Production estimates reach 72 and 150 barrels daily, with a 250 foot oil recovery in Kimball’s Scheele No 1 well. Pan-American and other companies push rigs across six Panhandle counties as Barada and Henry Field activities draw attention to potential secondary recovery via waterfloods. A Nebraska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission hearing on April 29 will weigh a proposed J sand waterflood in Henry Field and potential involuntary unitization.
