District Court Proceedings In Sidney Court April Docket

The District Court of the Fifth Judicial District sat in Sidney on April 3 with Judge William Gaslin and D A C Dilworth presiding. Jurors were empanelled and cases proceeded. Civil docket includes Stone v Burgess with $100 damages. Moran v Moran divorce dismissed at plaintiff’s cost. Kane v County Commissioners continued by consent. Gossage divorce decree granted as prayed. Criminal docket covers McLean murder verdict guilty of first degree. Pollock case continued. Fields and Clayton plead guilty to three years each. Vance pleads guilty and jailed sixty days. Carr murder lat degree life sentence after arraignment. Hall larceny guilty with penitentiary term. McDonald assault with intent to murder verdict guilty. Bramsted theft guilty with one-year penitentiary.

Stock Meeting Sees New Foreman And Rule Changes

Cheyenne County Stock Association met last Saturday evening at Heist and Kane office. Present were T Kane president C F Harrison secretary and members Redington Lynch Ferris M M Coad Griffin Callahan Musheid and Neumann with T Ro Benson elected member and Geo Darrow honorary member of Sidney Telegraph. Tassier elected foreman for the coming Round-Up with May dates debated and a rule requiring cattle owners to provide mounted men. Secretary instructed to bar certain counties from Stock Associations. Meeting adjourned.

Upper and Lower Round Up Notices From Laramie County

Two rounds ups announced for May 1 1877 and May 20 1877 in Laramie County Wyoming. Upper Round Up to meet at W M Daniels Ranch on Labonte Creek with foreman James Lane and fireman listed. will work north of Laramie river toward the Union Pacific line and Cheyenne Fort Laramie telegraph road. Lower Round Up to meet at Carey’s ranch on Pole Creek near the Dashin Road, joining Nebraska Round Up, traveling along Pole Creek to Potter Station and up North Platte toward Nise Creek and Horse Creek.
