Lor enzo farming sale closes Harold Kurz holdings
Harold Kurz farm in Lorenzo will close this week as the sale of his holdings proceeds. Numerous local families shared Easter gatherings and visitors, with Ed Bivens and Scott leasing the Brauer Packing Plant in Chappell and moving to a new location. The community extended sympathy to Lyndelle Brown’s family after her mother’s death.

Navy Carrier USS Franklin D. Roosevelt Overhaul Highlight
Navy news from Portsmouth Nebraska and Virginia lists Airman Apprentice Thomas R. Gilgren and Aviation Boatswain's Mate Airman Eugene P. Fraass aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt during its Norfolk Shipyard overhaul. The 44 million dollar project is the yard’s largest single overhaul. The carrier, known as the Mediterranean Carrier, has a 25 year service history with 12 years in the Med and an August 1967 17th deployment. Separately the SHARE agriculture hearing at the University of Nebraska City Campus will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Centennial Room with Secretary Hardin presiding.
