Line Extension Sought for Valley Farmers by Pioneer
Palmer Thurston of Potter urged REA action to extend rural electrical service across Cheyenne county from the Wyoming line through Kimball county to benefit Lodgepole valley farms. He pressed for a direct Washington appeal and asked Sidney leaders to contact Congressman Harry B. Coffee. Extension would enable pump irrigation on many farms at low rates, though no direct line exists from Potter to Sidney due to lack of a supporting power company or municipal line.
