The structure, holding 120 acre feet and using 23 000 cubic yards of earth, includes a grassed waterway to carry discharge across Coulter cropland. Completed in late November, it stores runoff from melting snow this spring and exemplifies solving conservation problems through study, cooperation and technical know how.
