High School Declamation Contest Delights Sidney Society
Young declamers held at the Methodist church in Sidney delivering strong orations and dramatic pieces. Roy Chambers led with Corwin on the War With Mexico, Allen Chambers impressed with Poussaint L Overture, Bernice Foster won praise for The New South, and Evalina Gray and Kathryn King delivered notable dramatic and humorous acts. Mrs. Ray Stansbury trained the students as music filled the event with solos and a two encores audience. Winners advance to Alliance on March 31 with first places Bernice Foster Evalina Gray Kathryn King.
