Lincoln County Fair Special Trains and Events Outline

Railroads offer two cent fare for the three fair days with a special lastday train on the Rupert Bliss line via Burley Heyburn Derome Wendell Bliss and Gooding. Round trip from Aport 2.25 and from Gooding around two cents total. Exhibits praise agricultural products and farm equipment. Upcoming events include boxing Young Carpenter vs Jess Ray and wrestling Griffo vs Hodgman.

Baugh Dentist Undergoes Appendicitis Operation

Dr Horace G. Baugh, dentist, was taken to a Boise hospital by his brother Dr W H Baugh on Saturday for an appendicitis operation. He had suffered greatly for a day before the cause was found and his condition was then promptly treated.

End of a Useful and Active Life Frank P Gwin

Frank P Gwin died Wednesday September 25 at his Shoshone home aged ? He was a pioneer sheepman and miner influential in the Homestake and Hearst properties. He held county offices including commissioner assessor and tax collector. Survived by wife sister of William Wallace and children William Fred Charles Mrs Homer Fenn Laura Blanche Viera Gwin. Joe Wheeler May Leave Shoshone

Joseph W. Wheeler former sheriff county commissioner and assessor of Lincely County is in Boise meeting United States Marshal Chad Hodgin about a deputy marshal appointment. Wheeler, not seeking the job, faced a decision that could force him to relocate to the capital for about $1,800 annually.

Sheep Shipments and Senter Burial in Shoshone

Unreadable OCR details describe heavy sheep shipments on the Short Line from Lima, Spencer, Boise and Soda Springs, with congestion warnings and planned chicken dinners by Shoshone church groups. The body of Clyde Senter, former president, was brought to Shoshone and buried beside his father with Masonic rites. pallbearers and attendees listed. Senter served in the First Idaho Regiment in the Spanish American War.

Bride Reena Jackson Weds Herbert T L Wilson at Episcopal Rectory

Miss Reena Jackson and her parents from Jackson Cassia County traveled to Sho shone to join Herbert T L Wilson who came from Spaulding. The ceremony was performed at the Episcopal Church rectory by Rev. Mr. Nots. The couple will reside in Wetser. Kuhns earlier launched a 3 million dollar corp in New Jersey taking over Idaho Southern and aiming to extend the line across Southern Idaho. The district court trial of Hay Weaver for Lena Spears death began Monday with the State’s evidence. a jury deliberated one hour over two ballots, 7 to 5 then unanimously acquitting Weaver.

Plan to stock rivers and lakes with bass announced

Frank M Kendall state warden asked federal authorities for a shipment of 100000 black bass to Salmon river in Twin Falls County as part of a broader effort to improve Idaho fishing. The plan includes stocking Mud Lake Bear Lake county and Boise River with bass to supplant carp and squawfish, plus new hatchery ponds at Warm River Hay Spur and Sandpoint for parent fish.

Weaver Pleads Guilty for Mailing Poison in Court Case

Weaver was arrested after release and charged in U S Court for improper mail use. U S Commissioner Disney set bail for trial before Judge Dietrich. Weaver pleaded guilty, fined 200, given 30 days to pay. DA stated he is not inherently bad, acted from ignorance. He plans to repay his father’s expenses.
