Surveyors on an electric road project will reach Shoshone soon to connect with the O S L Wood River line. The line, starting at Milner, aims to run into Shoshone within the next year and bring new streetcar service, promising economic opportunities for the town with visible signs of growth and investment.

A Home of Their Own Wedding in Shoshone

Miss Edith Elizabeth Bowler and William D Forbes, both of Shoshone, wed Thursday night at eight o'clock in the Bowler home. Rev Howard Bowler conducted. Forbes, formerly from Canada, has worked for R J McMahon for seven years. The bride is a local musical and social leader and the couple will reside in the Forbes home in the north part of town.

Crowded Opening for Shoshone Projects Brings Visitors

Citizens of Jones welcome a rush as Shoshone hosts the opening of new projects. An intelligence office will aid visitors who need lodging at seven beds nearby. Services at the Methodist church Sunday morning will proceed, though the exact nature remains unannounced. Rev. C A Varnue will arrive next week from Joseph Oregon, after moving from Michigan last November. He is regarded as a capable visitor and the church plans a warm reception for him.

The event was praised as highly successful and may become a permanent Idaho education feature. A teacher shortage prompts a special October examination to fill positions immediately. Burnside will issue a notice next week.

Carey Act Lands Opening Described in Idaho Notice

The State Board of Land Commissioners announces opening of Carey Act desert lands in Lincoln and adjacent ranges for entry on October 1, 1907. About 2710.29 acres in Owyhee and Cassia areas, plus 160,000 acres in multiple townships, are described under contracts with the United States. Applications may be filed in Jerome, Lincoln County, with per-acre prices and water shares in Twin Falls North Side Canal, up to 35 per water share. Governor and Warden Seek Hatchery Site

Governor Gooding visited Premont agent and considered a site at the great springs on the North Fork of the Shake river for a state fish hatchery and park. The search, led by the Serene and state game warden, has already included Indian Creek Blaine county and Clear Creek Idaho county as potential hatchery locations.
