Lincoln County Court House Contract Awarded to Brennan
The Lincoln County Board of County Commissioners approved O J Brennan as the lowest bidder at 17000 for the new court house to be built in the park at Shoshone facing north. Brennan must post a 7000 bond and complete the structure by March 1 1904 with a 5 per day penalty for delays. A separate 250 claim by M K Savage for Thorn Creek bridge was approved and paid from the road and bridge fund.

Two-Horse Thefts from Milner Camp Illicitly Escaped
Report from Twin Falls describes a horse theft at Nelson Bennett and Co burst from Milner camp. Thieves fled 65 miles downstream chased along the Salmon and Snake rivers. One bandit drowned trying to ford the river. the other was captured and faced threats of lynching. Faris brought the news to Sho shon.

E Eugene DeMooy from Portland visited his uncle Chas C Haynes in Portland on Saturday morning. He is the son of Haynes sister from Cleveland Ohio where her son engineers automobiles and gasoline engines. DeMooy toured the west for thirty days with the Cleveland Greys, Ohio’s crack military unit, likened to the New York Seventh Regiment. The Greys escort presidents to the White House and number Cleveland’s 400. DeMooy, six foot two, with soldier bearing, stayed 21 hours and made many friends.
