Lincoln County Commissioners defend payroll and convention expenses

Chairman A. L. Sprakman defends voter approved allowances for clerks, probate court staff, and county officers. He notes three disputed items including salaries totaling $951.00 and a $100.85 claim for a clerk, with rejection of $65.28 for convention travel. He cites population growth and labor needs in Lincoln County and criticizes reliance on an advisor while urging taxpayers bear rightful costs. The decision upheld most clerical claims but denied Massey and Boise convention expenses.
