Shoshone North Side Land and Power venture outlined

A Shoshone based project announces 175 000 acres to be irrigated from Snake River with artificial lakes and 50 miles of canals. Twin Falls North Side Land and Power company merges with Shoshone Falls Power interests to fund a 60 mile Milner to Gooding electric rail line, poles and telegraph. Ownership includes Pittsburg financier W Kuhn and promoter J B Perriner. A separate court case involved George Ashley's jail sentence after a drunken disturbance. An ordinance prohibits livestock running at large within Shoshone village limits and sets impounding and sale rules with fees and penalties.

Was Only a Friend. Geo Purdum Hosts Fickle Visitors

Geo Purdum, who runs a livery in Shoshone, welcomed visiting friends from Hailey and Missouri. They arrived with four horses, boarded them, and slept in his stable office. They later asked for credit for feed, which he extended, but when asked to join a stockgrowers’ oat buy, he refused and wished them well.

Reverend Merridith to Preach at Local Methodist Service

The Rev. B F Merridith of Weiser Idaho will preach morning and evening next Sunday. Recently from the New York Conference he has been appointed Secretary to Jason Lee Academy. He is a graduate of Wesleyan Middletown and Ruston University in Theology and is regarded as a forceful speaker in the West. All should fear him.

Samuel Bowman Dies in Shoshone of Tuberculosis

Samuel Bowman brother of Jimae Bowman died at Jimae's home last Thursday evening after a period of tuberculosis. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. C. A. Edwards officiating. Bowman had recently come from Colorado to live with his brother in Shoshone. He is survived by his wife and daughter.

The King of Trams at Shoshone Opera House

The comedy The King of Trams arrives at the Shoshone Opera House on March ninth. The press promises a cheerful show with Sunny Jim spreading happiness, a capable company of singing and dancing, and a performance well worth seeing for good sensible patrons.

Notice to Creditors in Estate of George Grant Deceased

Notice is given by the administrator Frank T. Disney of the estate of George F. Grant deceased to creditors and all claimants. Submit all claims with vouchers within four months after publication to Frank T. Disney at his office in Shoshone County Idaho. Dated February 27, 1905.
