Members invited guests and pledged to raise funds for furnishing the Idaho building at the St Louis exposition, each member vowing to earn two. Ballasting to Begin on Short Line Ahead of Schedule
The Pocatello Tribune reports ballasting will start immediately on the Short Line segments not reached last year. Ties will be distributed as track improvement begins from Pocatello west. By the fifteenth of this month at least fifteen trains will haul gravel along the Marsh Valley attic to spread it west of Pocatello. Remaining sections are the 73 miles from Pocatello to Owipts and a short track from Mountainhome to Weiser. Work on all three stretches starts now and aims to finish within the season.
