Jail Breakers Escape from Lincoln County Jail
Clarence Wheeler chased Beauchamp and Holland after they escaped a Shoshone jail by sawing two bars and slipping away in the corridor. They fled toward camps between Shoshone and Milner and reached Minidoka dam where they dined with workers, arming themselves. They moved toward OSL lamall station to flee by freight. A $100 reward was offered for capture amid suspected gang activity in the Minidoka area with other robberies linked to the same group.

In an interview with C Fitch manager of the Idaho Irrigation company, the Leader reports the company will have water delivery ready for North and South Gooding, Shoshone, Richfield and Deitrich tracts well before irrigation time. The unfinished dam will store 70 to 80 thousand acre feet this summer, more than enough to irrigate all land in shape for farming. The system is praised as the best in the state, with settlements on Snake river tracts settled amicably. Water payments for last year are deferred to December 1910, with turning on expected around April.
