A busy weekend featured two parties hosted by Mrs M T Whitenack and Mrs E A Bowler with afternoon Auction Bridge and a luncheon. Evening events included 500, high scorers Mrs Ed Gooding and Mrs J W Lundin, plus many invited guests and yellow white décor. Additional clubs met for Auction Bridge, sewing, and socializing, with a poverty dance at Grange Hall drawing a crowded turnout.

Hatchery plans target eight million trout at Hay Spur
Hay Spur hatchery plans to expand capacity to eight million trout next season under Game Warden Jones. The semi monthly Study Club met at the Parish house on Friday with nine members due to measles. Mrs. Sidney Smith led a varied program featuring art notes on Minerva Kohihepp and a paper by Mrs. Smith, readings by Mrs. W. W. Custer and Mrs. Paul S. Haddock, a vocal solo by Mrs. J. W. Landin, and a piano piece by Mrs. J. C. Baker. The next gathering is set for February 23 focusing on Historical Monuments of America and Famous American Men of Today.

Five Million Dollar Pension Fund Drive Planned
An offering will be held next Sunday at the Episcopal church to raise the five million dollar pension fund. Four million has already been raised with a goal to complete by March 1, 1917. The drive urges Shoshone to contribute to save pledged funds. Harvey Ricketts has left for Salt Lake City to join Fort Douglas. Harry Turnbull toured Shoshone on a business trip. Percy May reports Tete Moo, of Battle Mountain, Nevada, has a job offer near Seattle, Washington for a fruit farm owned by Mr Church from Mivhfiend.
