Short Line eyes Shoshone as a future division point with plans to reopen shops there citing growing traffic and the need to shorten line stages. A contractor told a local businessman that Pocatello Shoshone and Nampa would be division points on this end, a move that seems plausible and timely.
Notice is given that I will apply to the Board of County Commissioners at their regular January session 1906 to be promoted to deputy sheriff to operate on the Minidoka tract. Frank Minisaes, Sheriff of Lincoln County.

F Roberts a Hagerman sheep herder arrived at the town and told the sheriff that J Austin a camptender assaulted him during a quarrel Austin fired a gun and struck Roberts with its butt missing him Deputy Purdum departed for Snake River to locate Austin for detention.
A small Kansas church raised 300 from local merchants by soliciting donations. John Smith the jeweler offered 5 to add a note, listing Sears Roebuck and Montgomery Ward among others. The minister read the donor list aloud, highlighting a community pull together spirit.
State Land Commissioners of Idaho invite applications to lease state lands at Boise office until January 1, 1906. Lands not applied for will be sold at public auction January 15, 1906, in various counties. For details write to the County Treasurer or the Register at Boise, Idaho.
