Idaho Irrigation Dispute Spurs Farmers Protective League Meeting

Six hundred Idaho Irrigation Project farmers gathered at Shoshone to press the State Land Board over water rights, contending the board and Idaho Irrigation Company plan to cut water duty to two and a quarter feet per acre despite contracts for higher delivery. They formed the Farmers Protective League, adopted dues, and appointed committees to rally neighbors and push for a full hearing.
