Frank R Gooding a Loyal Idaho Leader and Banker

Frank R Gooding, born October 16 1859 in England, built a notable Idaho career. He moved from Michigan to California and Idaho, led mining, sheep farming, and banking, and chaired the Idaho State Central Committee in 1901. A Republican with broad real estate and business interests, he promoted electrification and town development in Shoshone and Gooding.

Mrs W H Baugh died Wednesday evening after months of illness. Born Rose Burke in Watertown New York in May 1870 she moved to Shoshone with her family in 1890s and served as postmistress in 1894. She married Dr W H Baugh July 31 1895. Survived by husband sisters Mrs W T Godfrey of Marquette Mich Miss Mary Burke brother James Burke and father Maurice Burke. Interment to Salt Lake City, sympathy extended by the community.

Teacher's Examination At Shoshone High School

The senial Teacher's Examination will be held in the High School at Shoshone on May 25 26 and 27 1904. Questions will be given for first second and third grade county as primary certificates study certificates and life diplomas and aurally for eighth grade pupils.
