Highway 200 work to begin soon in Gonzales area
The State Highway Commission revised routes through Gonzales and Wharton Counties. Highway 200 will run from Gonzales via Hallettsville to Wharton. the old route to Eagle Lake becomes Highway 253. A new Peach Creek bridge, about 129000 dollars, is planned before year end. Seven miles of Highway 200 from the county line through Shiner awaits bridge and drainage contracts.
