Mrs. Wm. B. Kurtz of Moulton died September 13 1964 at Crews Hospital Gonzales at age 70. Funeral September 15 at Smith Funeral Home and St. Joseph s Church Moulton with interment in Moulton Catholic Cemetery. Surviving husband four sons and five daughters, 24 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Shiner Man Passes State Bar After UT Austin Law Degree
Bernard Marcak of Shiner has passed the Texas state bar exam and is licensed by the Supreme Court. He earned a BBA in 1962 and an LLB in 1964 from the University of Texas, and is a 1958 Shiner High School graduate. He held AFROTC honors and will join the U S Air Force JAG Corps with his wife Dolores and daughter Shannon remaining in Shiner until active duty assignment.
